On Wednesday Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has re-launched the criminal investigation into the Pakistan Super League spot-fixing case. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) imposed a ban on Khalid Latif (five years) and Sharjeel Khan (five years) for their role in the spot-fixing scam. After that FIA re-opened the case of both Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan.
PCB also investigate about four more players named as Mohammad Irfan, Shahzaib Hasan, Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Nawaz. This investigation depends upon multiple charges as well.
Two players Muhamad Irfan and Nawaz do not declare the reporting of bookie´s offer. In result, Muhammad Irfan was baned for one year including the six month of suspension. Nawaz was banned for two month including fines and one month of suspension.
FIA also has obtained the complete report of banned cricketers from PCB. It also includes all the data about the player’s cell phone as well as players’ laptop data.
FIA also received the report of Sharjeel and Latif’s cases from PCB. FIA investigation team already carried out the whole review of players laptop and mobile data in questions as well.
An appropriate action will be taken in light of the judgment for Shahzaib Hasan, according to the FIA.
