Pakistan Cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed was offered for spot-fixing by a bookie. On Wednesday, after the third ODI match against Sri Lanka, someone approaches him for spot-fixing confirmed by the legal source.
Sarfraz Ahmed immediately reported the PCB management for this offer. Then this report passed into the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit. The ACU is now investigating about this news.
PCB chairman Najam Sethi tweet that “A player was approached. As per rules he immediately reported to PCB who informed ICC. Matters are jointly in hand. No further comment.”
In the start of this year, PSL Second Season started and a few Pakistan players were the target of corrupt approaches during this season in UAE.
In the Second Season 2017, many of players were the target for spot-fixing. PCB punished some of the players for spot-fixing scandal in 2017.
Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif also banned by Anti Corruption Tribunal. It is announced by the PCB that “there is strike decision against the cricket who will be captured in the spot-fixing scandal in PSL 2018.
